The New York Mets are signing infielder Eduardo Escobar to a 2 year, $20M deal with a club option for 2024. Escobar plays 2B, SS, and 3B so will give the Mets plenty of versatility. This certainly decreases the odds of the Mets signing Baez, but does not eliminate them.
